Your primary objective is to recruit new citizens and enhance your settlements, enabling you to accommodate more Waxel Ninjas and gatherer professions. Once your team is assembled, send them out to collect raw materials and maximize your resource gathering potential.

But the real fun begins when you refine these raw materials using your refined profession. With refined resources at your disposal, you can unleash your expertise as a master crafter to create powerful items. Equip these crafted items on your gatherers to amplify their efficiency and yield even greater quantities of resources!

Remember, every asset within the game is either an NFT or can be transformed into one. Utilize the secondary marketplace to engage in trading, selling, and buying assets. Get ready to become the ultimate Waxel Ninja and lead your team to success in this exciting and action-packed game!

## Citizens
The only way to get citizens is by either finding them with your Waxel Ninjas or by buying them on the secondary market.
Every couple of hours, you will be able to “search” for a new citizen, which then will be added to your WAX account on the blockchain. The more rare the “race” attribute of your Waxel Ninja is, the faster you will be able to find a new citizen and the higher the success rate will be. There is a small chance that your Waxel Ninja won’t be successful on his search and come back without a citizen.

## Professions
When you have found your first couple of citizens by using your Waxel Ninjas, it is time to blend them into a profession. together with the corresponding **book of profession**.
There are 3 types of professions: 
1. **gatherers** = can be send to work in order to gather raw materials.
2. **refiners** = can take a certain amount of raw materials and refine them into refined materials
3. **crafters** = can craft items

Even though there are 3 types of professions, there are a total of **7 professions** (3 gatherers + 4 refiners & crafters).  Each gatherer has a specific material to gather, like ores for miners and wood for lumberjacks. Refiners can then process the raw materials into specific refined materials.

## Materials
Materials are needed to craft items. There are 2 types of materials: raw materials and refined materials with 3 different rarities. You will need to gather raw materials first and then refine them. The more rare a raw material is, the longer it will take to refine it.
Raw materials can be found by professions with the attribute “gatherer”. The raw materials can be refined into refined materials by professions with the attribute “refiner” and then be used to craft items.

## Items
In the Waxel World, items are crucial to boosting the efficiency of your professions. Currently, only the 3 gatherer professions can equip items, but expansions will add new items and rarities for all professions. There are 27 items in total, with each gatherer profession able to equip three items that offer different boosts such as higher rarity chance or guaranteed more raw materials. Each item comes in three rarities, and only certain professions can craft them. To prevent oversaturation, each item has a durability attribute, and you can destroy them to get back materials.

Every game asset in the Waxel World is a NFT or can be minted into one.This way, you as the player, truly own every asset from the game.You alone can decide what you want to do with your received / found / bought NFTs. You can either trade, sell, buy or even burn your NFTs.
